Hello,

My Music \ Artist active playlist is corrupt. My DLNA client devices display the album tree but most albums contain no items (songs).

This is the playlist. As you can see it appears fine in Mezzmo:

658

I tried deleting the playlist and creating a new one, even in the root directory rather than under Music, but the issue persists.

How can I fix this?

Thanks in advance.

Turn on logging in Mezzmo (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Browse the ABBA playlist on your DLNA device and when it shows no files, then stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up all the logs and email them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.

Hi Paul, just reviving this old thread as I finally recommissioned my home network.
Upgraded to version 4.03 and the issue is still there.
Please let me know what you need me to do.
Thanks for you help.

First step - upgrade to Mezzmo v4.0.4.0 and then right-click on the active playlist and click Properties. On the Active Playlist Properties dialog, click OK to close it. Wait for 5 minutes or so (Mezzmo is processing this active playlist to make sure it is up-to-date) and then see if it works better on your device. If not, then we'd like to see a new set of logs using the latest Mezzmo version. After turning on logging, restart your Mezzmo server and list the active playlist on your device to show the empty playlists. Then stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up all the logs and email them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.

Thanks Paul. Tried going to Properties and clicking OK but unfortunately no joy. Logs collected and sent as requested. Cheers!

Hi this issue has come back but with a twist (I am running v5.0.3.0):
1. I have one album which appeared in the "Folder" playlist but not in the Artists \ Albums playlist. I was able to resolve this by editing the file tags in a FLAC file editor.
2. Deleted movies remain in Mezzmo. I am now running a manual library maintenance and will see if they are removed.

Some answers:

You can always right-click on the music file in Mezzmo and click Properties. On the Properties dialog, check the Album edit field to see what's there (and fill it in if it is missing an album).
When you delete a media file on disk, then it will not be removed from your Mezzmo library until you run Maintain Library with the "Remove media files from your Mezzmo library that cannot be found on your computer" checkbox checked.

Thanks Paul

Yes this is after editing the files' properties in Mezzmo and refreshing the playlist, clicking OK and waiting and then running library maintenance. For some reason it didn't work for that particular album.
Was not aware deleted movies are not removed automatically, will note for future

Cheers
