Hi all,

i've recently bought the WMA 1000 (http://www.sitecom.com/en/wi-fi-music-player/wma-1000/p/1601), it can stream music through a dlna or airplay service.

After an easy setup, i've tried to configure it in my Mezzmo Server, but it does not appear in multimedia device list. I've checked all mezzmo requirements (firewall, etc etc) without success. Moreover the Music player works fine with my Dlink NAS (it have a dlna service inside...).

What i can do in order to include this device in my list?

thank you
Freeman

Hi Freeman,

If Mezzmo is not listed on your WMA-100 or your WMA-100 is not listed in the Media Devices dialog in Mezzmo, then see this FAQ for possible reasons - http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/1183-FAQ-Cannot-see-Mezzmo-on-your-DLNA-device.

If your WMA-100 is on your wireless network and your PC is on your wired network, then they may have different subnets - and this can be the cause of DLNA problems. You may need to assign static IPs to your devices to get them both on the same subnet.

I've checked step by step all points within the link posted but without success. The WMA-1000 is connected on wifi (it's the only one way...) and i have manually assigned a static IP with the same subnet but the device still missing in device list.

Could be that this is a DLNA DMR device?

Hi Freeman,

Turn on logging in Mezzmo (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Turn off your WMA-1000 and then turn it on again. Try to list media servers on your WMA-1000 and wait a few minutes. Then stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up all the logs and email them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com. We'll analyse them and see if we can see the problem.

Hi Paul,

the WMA-1000 have no possibility to select the dlna server in its firmware. I use my android tablet with bubble Upnp, i select the WMA-1000 as the render and Mezzmo as the source. After that i try to stream the music but the WMA doesn't play anything (i have to reboot the WMA1000 because it crashes)

I suppose that it depend because this device is missing in multimedia device list because, for my understanding, i've used Serviio with the same procedure, the WMA play the music, infact serviio includes in your multimedia devices the ip address of my WMA device (Serviio identify the WMA1000 as a Generic DLNA device).

However i will execute your instructions about the log...

thank you
f.

Understand. After we get your logs via email, we should be able find the cause of the problem.

Hi,

now the Sitecom WMA-1000 is included in my device list (thank you V4 and Paul!) but when i try to stream the music the WMA crashes again. I'm using Generic profile for Sitecom WMA-1000 but i've tried with other Audio player profile (not Sitecom) with same problem.

Thank you

Hi Freeman,

Glad we've made some progress :). Turn on logging in Mezzmo (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Restart your Sitecom WMA and reproduce the playing music problem. When your Sitecom WMA crashes, stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up all the logs and email them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.

Hi Paul,

probably this issue has been solved without debug. Infact now the WMA device works fine without any changes in your profile configuration but i've changed the profile for my S3 device with Conceiva Android (previously was Generic DLNA)... etc etc. after Mezzmo app downloading.

Now i can manage the music library on Mezzmo server and i can redirect the streaming on WMA 1000 without problems.

Thank you
Freeman
