I am trying mezzmo to know if i can play all my video files, because i have some problems with Tversity. After installed almost every file plays fine on my DSM320RD, but i have some files that i can view the video but without audio. It seems like mezzmo think that audio it is native detected by DSM320RD and does not transcode it. Looks like a profile problem.

This is the ffmpeg information from one of that files:

I wish someone can help me.

Thanks in advance

Yes, that file is in the device profile, so it's passed through natively. The sound stream looks quite ordinary, so I'm a bit surprised it doesn't play. Does the sound play if you try that file on your PC?

On the PC the sound plays perfectly.
I have try it a lot of times on the D-Link with TVersity, WMP11 and others media servers and allways the same, i can not play sound on that file.
It is possible to force transcoding on individual files???

My first guess would then be that the firmware on the DSM does not decode the audio stream properly.

If you could send the file to me (via Megaupload/Dropbox/etc...), I could test it here to see what could possibly be wrong.

At the moment it's not possible to transcode a single file, but it's possible to tweak the device profile to transcode (for example) all AVIs with MPEG4 video and MP3 sound - depends if you have many of them or not.

i will send you via megaupload the file, but i do not came back to my house until tomorrow afternoon (GMT+1).

About force transcoding on all Mpeg4 with Mp3, it is not a solution because almost all my video files have this format because i have to download in this format in order to TVersity stream them correctly to the DSM320RD (except this file), it was imposible to stream HD videos (MKV, H264, etc..) at this moment they play well with mezzmo and DSM 320RD (except this file too).
The reason i am changing to mezzmo is that some HD files with AC3 sound, stream correctly via transcoding.

If there is any dificulty to stream this single file, i download it again in other format, althougt it will be good to know the reason of the problem.

Thank you very much.

PD. I notice that on the DSM320RD when i go to "Video" (or "Music" or "Photo") menus, i see all the library shared with mezzmo menus(Photo, Music, Video) under any of them and not only "Video", then i have to go "Video" again and go to the folder with the video files. It is possible to make it other way???

Sorry for my english, because it is not my mother tongue, i come from Spain.

Thanks - if I can test the file here maybe I'll understand better why just that one file doesn't play.

If you can download it again in another format or manually transcode (convert) it, I guess that'll work, since all of your other files are playing ok.

Regarding all folders coming up - Mezzmo is very flexible in the way it allows you to organize your media, so we don't really know if you have audio files in a folder called "Video" for example (you could put them there if you wish). "Video" is just a name, it doesn't really mean that it only contains video files - it's more of a guideline for you to organize your media files initially.
