Hi,

I have been using Mezzmo with my Sony Bravia KDL 26EX320 for some time now with no problems. However, recently my TV has started to show the message 'playback not available'. This is the same message I get when I try and watch an unsupported format on a USB plugged into my TV so I wondered if Mezzmo was having problems transcoding my files.

Most of what I stream is AVI and I believe Sony Bravias only suppport MP4. Mezzmo is still able to stream the few files I have in MP4 with no problems it just gets stuck on any other format. I tried to pre-transcode some files to see if this would work but Mezzmo just sits for hours without managing to transcode even one 30 min show.

For some reason my transcoded files temporary folder at C:\AppData\Local\Conceiva\Mezzmo\TranscodingFiles is only 1.16GB.

Any suggestions?

Is transcoding turned on in Mezzmo? Make sure it is turned on so that any incompatible files are transcoded on-the-fly to compatible formats. Go to the Transcoding Settings dialog to check this and the Transcoding tab on the Device Settings dialog for your TV to check this (get to this dialog by editing your device in the Media Devices dialog).

If no better, please turn on logging in Mezzmo (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Reproduce the "playback no available" issue on your TV. Then stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up all the logs and email them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.
