Hi

I may be doing this completely wrong but whilst reorganising my playlists now v4 has so many more options I have noticed Mezzmo moving my smart playlists about. Albeit no longer required but as a good example I have a smart playlist called "By Rating" and under that I wanted to group by (U), (15) etc so I created a sub playlist under the main one called (15) etc. and set a filter to films that contained (15) in the file name (now switched to file path following a previous problem). That all works fine until I modify the sub-playlist for example switch from file to path but this happens even if you just click OK. The playlist jumps out of the parent playlist and into the main root folder.

I have attached a screen shot.

This isn't a big problem and they may have been a better way to accomplish what I wanted but the same occurs with any smart play list created under another, as soon as you change it, it drops out the parent list name. Its easy to drag it back in again and to be honest this is the best way to sequence them in any type of order as I cant seem to sort the playlists any other way other than dragging them out and then back in again in the correct sequence.

Cheers

Steve

Hi Steve,

You should not be able to have a smart playlist as a parent of another smart playlist. However, drag/drop lets you do this - which is wrong. We'll fix that up for the next Mezzmo release.

The fix for your needs is to create a new normal playlist called "By Rating" (i.e. create a normal playlist using 'Create Playlist' -> 'Playlist'). You can use normal playlists as the parent of other playlists. Then drag/drop your smart playlists under it. After that, you can delete your 'By Rating' smart playlist.

Spot on thanks, as well as drag and drop you will need to inhibit right click, create smart playlist under the smart playlist as that's where I went wrong to start with.

Thanks Again
