Trouble with AVI

I have been using Mezzo for years and WD TV LIVE. I am running the latest update on both. I am now having trouble playing .AVI files. Some of them play but most don't. I turned off all trans coding and changed profile to WD TV Live plus and most of them work. Is there another setting I need to do?

Try to identify what's common about the files that don't play, eg are they all DIvx encoded. I've experienced issues with Divx encoded ones in the past which is why that was the example I picked.

Please revert back to the WD TV Live device profile. Then post the FFmpeg information for an AVI that does play on your WD TV Live and then for an AVI that does not play on your WD TV Live. To do this, right-click on the video and click 'Get FFmpeg Information'.
