View Full Version : Problems with Disply Titles in 4.0.5.0

After updating to 4.0.5.0 all display names were changed.
I tried to reset them using Tools > Options > Display Titles...
and set all options to %FILENAME%
I than did a Maintain Now and everything was back to normal.
After the next scheduled maintain they changed back to showing Title for everything (regardless of Movie or TV). The settings did not change, and continue to show %FILENAME% for all.
When looking at the individual playlist options they also show all as %FILENAME% even though they display Title.

If I select to update all information it will change them to Filename but at the next scheduled it reverts back!

Can anyone help with this?

When you change Display Titles, you don't need to run Maintain Library. The titles should be changed immediately.

Do the titles look OK in Mezzmo or on your devices? Or both the same?

Please take a screenshot of the Display Titles dialog and the incorrect titles as they are displayed in Mezzmo. Post the screenshots here or email them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.

The titles may change immediately, but they go to the title not, the filename.
It is only when i run maintain now or force a maintain that the show correctly, then after a few seconds they revert to title.
filenames: as as they appear in windows explorer.
folder level display titles: is the setting on the folder, these are also the program level settings.
displaying: shows how they appear with the above settings
after maintain now: these are how they correctly show after a maintain, but quickly go back to displaying view.

In Details view in Mezzmo, are you displaying the 'Title' column or the 'Display Title' column? You should display the 'Display Title' column if you want to see your %FILENAME% Display Title. Right-click on the header of the Details view and click 'Customize Columns'. Add 'Display Title' and remove 'Title'. Hopefully that gets you what you are after.

Ok, that sorts out the naming, although still a wee bit unsure as to why the Title column changes to show the filename and then back to title but no matter, happy with it working now.
Seems to be a little issue on clicking to sort on Display Title it does not seem to be sorting them correctly on Display Title, but it still using the normal Title. No big deal for me as you have sorted (pardon the pun) my issue.
Thanks as always

Glad that's working. We've reproduced the Display Title sorting problem in the Details view and we'll fix that for the upcoming release. Thanks for letting us know.
