Can you target a smart playlist to an added folder?

Hi Guys,

I have worked out how to create a Rolodex playlist filter however this grabs all the files that I have in Mezzmo what I want to do is target a specific folder that I have added for eg. Kids movies (containing 300 movies) and only have this folder's contents listed rather than having mum and dad's movies.

As my kids are under 10 I am hoping for a good way to sort them out and for them to browse quickly to rather than go through all the list to get to a specify one.

any help would be grateful..

Hi Rod,

For a smart playlist, right-click on the playlist and click Properties. Then add a rule like:


[File path] [starts with] [D:\Kids Movies\]

and this will then only include files that are from the the above folder.

For an active playlist (which is what I assume you are using for your rolodex-style playlist), right-click on the playlist and click Properties. On the Active Playlist Properties dialog, click the Smart Filter button and add a rule like:


[File path] [starts with] [D:\Kids Movies\]

and this will then only include files that are from the the above folder.
