I've got an impression Mezzmo server is hard to find on the network.

My DLNA servers are Mezzmo PC, MD1 and MD2. I switch my TV on and choose Home Network. MD1 and MD2 are instantly visible, Mezzmo PC is not. I have to restart Mezzmo media server. Then Mezzmo PC becomes available on TV set.

Now, I got Mezzmo for Android on Samsung mobile. I start Mezzmo. MD1 and MD2 are instantly available. Mezzmo PC is not. Once more Mezzmo server restart is needed. Then Mezzmo PC can be seen on mobile.

I don't know the DLNA mechanism of detecting servers by a client device but things look like Mezzmo server is not able to detect new clients network presence.

Any thoughts?

First step, make sure you are the latest version of Mezzmo (v4.0.6.0). If still a problem, it appears as though there is some DLNA / UPnP communication being blocked on your home network. This can often be caused by your firewall or router settings. See this FAQ that lists the possible reasons for Mezzmo server not being listed on your devices - http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/1183-FAQ-Cannot-see-Mezzmo-on-your-DLNA-device.

If still a problem, the it's best we see a set of logs. Turn on logging in Mezzmo (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Now reproduce the problem you mention. Once reproduces, stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo Windows app. Zip up all the logs and email them to us at suppor [at] conceiva [dot] com.
