View Full Version : Tv stopped seeing Mezzmo

Hi, I'm using the trial version of Mezzmo on a Samsung tv. I was loving it compared to Serviio, since I always had to do a complete reboot of my pc if my computer went to sleep...the program just never came back. Mezzmo was working fine, but suddenly my tv no longer sees it. I have to swap out the tv ethernet cord back and forth with my ps4 due to limited ports, but it always found it quickly after. I have restarted my computer, unplugged the tv several times, but Mezzmo will not come back. I went and removed my tv from the device list and tried a refresh, but nothing shows up.

Something must be blocking your Mezzmo server on your PC and your TV from communicating DLNA with each other. Typically this will be your router or firewall. Try rebooting your router. Try turning off your firewall / system protection software on your PC as a test. If still no success, then it's best we see a set of logs. Turn on logging in Mezzmo (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Turn off your TV and then turn it on again. Wait a few minutes and then list media servers on your TV. When Mezzmo is not listed, then stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up all your logs and email them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.

Thanks. For whatever reason, that exact sequence got it working again. I had ran through most of that FAQ beforehand, but to no avail. It appears to be working again--devices show up in the media section of Mezzmo and Mezzmo is on my input list on my TV.
