Every time I try to stream a Blu-ray or a DVD ISo to my LG BD-660 te system freeze and I have to unplug it to solve the problem. I tried both LG BD profile.

A different media server identified my blu-ray player as a Philips blu-ray player so I tried this profile too, even in this case the player freezes but after 10 minutes it says that the file is unplayable and it starts to work again.

With that other media server I hadn't no problem with DVD-rip and I could choose between the different language and subtitle, so I was wondering why you have to transcode a DVD or a Blu-ray if it is a DVD/Blu-ray Player?

Device's firmware is often broken into local playback (e.g. playing DVDs, Blu-rays, or via USB) and network / DLNA playback. We've found that for many devices, network / DLNA playback may not support as many video, music, photo and subtitle formats. So that explains why your device appears to operate differently when streaming as compared to playing local discs, etc.

My guess the reason for your LG player locking up is that it is struggling to decode and play the files being streamed to it. This can sometimes be caused by a too high video bitrate for the Blu-ray / DVD rip. We can check this for you. Turn on logging in Mezzmo (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Stream the video and wait until your LG player locks up. Then stop your Mezzmo server. Next, right-click on the video in Mezzmo and click 'Get FFmpeg Information'. Zip up all the logs and email them to us together with the FFmpeg information to support [at] conceiva [dot] com.

I'll do it, but if I put the Blu-ray rip on the NAS and I directly play the movie file I don't have any problem reading it and choosing audio or subtitle. The problem happen only if Mezzmo transcode the video.
