I have an external HDD with 3500 films on it. When I use the scan drive option everything goes well with the active playlists going from A - Z. The weird thing is now after scanning the whole drive there is no "T" active playlist. There are however all the films beginning with "T" under the all video files tab. It used to work fine but for some reason now its gone. Have tried maintaining libary many times, resetting the database and even unistalling and reinstalling mezzmo.

Do you wait for the 'Processing active playlists" task in the Status pane to complete? This task handles creating all the sub-active playlists and populating all your files into them. After 'Processing active playlists' has completed, it can a few minutes for Mezzmo to finish populating them into the tree in Mezzmo as a background process. Tip: You can get your active playlist re-processed at any time by right-clicking on it and clicking 'Properties'. On the Properties dialog, just click OK to close it and Mezzmo will re-process the playlist and add any missing sub-active playlists and files. This occurs as a background process and may take several minutes depending on the size of your Mezzmo library.

If still no success, then turn on logging (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Start Mezzmo again and reset your Mezzmo database using the Options dialog (General page). Now just add one video file using the 'Add To Library' -> 'Add Files...' command. Choose a movie starting with 'T' and click OK. After the file has been added and 'Processing active playlists' has completed, wait another 5 minutes or so and then see if the 'T' sub-active playlist has been created and you movie is listed there. If not, then stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up all the logs and email them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.
