MKV's with built in Subtitles are not being displayed.
I have tested the same movie with an external .srt file and they do display on the TV.

Does Mezzmo have functionality to read internal Subtitles?
If not will it be implemented soon?
It will be time consuming to find and download the appropraite subtitles for a lot of my movies.

TV: Samsung PS58C7000
Mezzmo Version: 2.1.11.0
OS: Win7 x64

Thanks :)

Actually the device has to read the internal subtitles and render them, Mezzmo only delivers the video file and it's up to the device to decode and display it. Mezzmo will have a feature to extract and/or burn the subtitles onto the video stream with the next major update (hopefully out before the end of this year), so that will get those subtitles going, but it will mean transcoding those files. So I would actually recommend finding corresponding .srt files and using those, as that keeps the original movie intact and there's no processing overhead involved (as would be if subtitles were burnt-in).

That would be great if the next major update will extract the subtitles from the mkv file. It would save me time from extracting the subtitles from the mkv's that aren't burnt-into the video.

Having the subtitles extracted by Mezzmo or d/l the subtitles manually and putting them into the movie folder shouldn't have to be transcoded to the TV?

Yes, if you have subtitles in an .srt format sitting in the same folder as the video file, then no transcoding is needed (provided the device can use external subtitles, which the Samsung TVs can).
