I've upgraded to 4.1.1.0 and so far most everything is working fine. I am noticing when I change the display mode to icons, I am not seeing them.

I've uploaded a screen shot.

With the new interface it would be great if you could enhance it to be more of a true file browser interface where we could cut/paste/move the associated videos between folders in Mezzmo and Mezzmo would move the files on the folder structure and update the properties in Mezzmo. Right now I have to move the files in the OS, then delete them in Mezzmo and rediscover them. This causes all of the prior info list added date, last play date, play count etc. to be reset. I know you can move an entire folder and then use the Mezzmo utility to change the part info but I am looking at a file-by-file option.

It's strange you are seeing no default icons when in Icons view mode. We cannot reproduce this here. Try this: Right-click on one the files and click Maintain Files. Maintain all attributes of the file and when maintenance is complete, refresh the view and see if that helped. If not, then it's best we see a set of logs. Turn on logging in Mezzmo (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) and exit Mezzmo (Windows) app. Run Mezzmo (Windows) app and then browse a few folders/playlist in Icon view mode. Then exit Mezzmo (Windows) app. Zip up all the logs and email them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.

Regarding copy / paste, you can drag and drop files from a playlist or folder into a playlist in the tree in Mezzmo (Note: the playlist must be a normal playlist and not a smart, active or linked playlist that you're dropping into). We don't let you move files from a folder to another folder, since folders in Mezzmo are a direct representation of what's on disk and (to-date) we do not touch your files or folders on disk. We'll discuss it here for possible inclusion into a future version of Mezzmo.

Paul,

The original screen shot I sent was via remote desktop into my video server running Mezzmo. Here's a screen shot from the video server console logging in directly. 739 . The basic icons do appear this way but not when I remote desktop in. I presume they are just supposed to be basic icons and not miniature thumbanils ? Now for the real odd thing. Once I logged in directly on the server console, then when I went back to remote desktop the icons are there. Here's a new remote desktop screen shot. 740

Interesting. We'll try it here with remote desktop.

I found a way to reproduce the problem. Remote desktop into a system running Mezzmo. Stop the GUI and restart it from a remote desktop session. The icons will not appear. Then login directly to the system and you will see them. Go back to remote desktop and you will also see them until you stop Mezzmo with the GUI.

Per our other thread on Play-To controls with similar problems , the fix here was setting remote desktop to use 32 bit color. Thanks.
