Hello,

I create a folder on a local drive and put some video files on it. The path to the folder is D:\FILMS\.
In a smart play list I set only one rule "file path begin from D:\FILMS\", but the list is empty.
What I'm doing wrong, how the rule should looks like to achieve the result?

Thank you,
Serge

If D:\FILMS\ is located on a mapped drive to another location (e.g. \\NAS\VIDEOS\FILMS\) then you will need to use the unmapped path instead of the mapped path. This is because your drive mapping are defined under your Windows user account that you log into Windows. Whereas, by default, your Mezzmo server runs as a Windows service on your computer under the Local System account - and that does not have access to user-defined drive mappings. So Mezzmo (Windows) app always unmaps your file paths when you add your files into your Mezzmo library. You can check this by right-clicking on a file in Mezzmo and clicking Properties. On the Properties dialog, scroll down to the bottom and you will see the full path for the file that Mezzmo is using to access the file.

Hello Paul,

I mentioned in the first post "folder on a local drive". I run Mezzmo under user account. I use the exact path what is define in the file properties and the filter "file path begin from". As example a file location D:\FILMS\1.mkv, filter "file path begin from" D:\FILMS\

Thank you,
Serge

Hi Serge,

Thanks for the further explanation. Please take a screenshot of your Smart Playlist Properties dialog so we can see all the rules you have and post it here or email it to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com. Next right-click on a file in Mezzmo that should appear in this smart playlist and click Properties. On the Properties dialog scroll to the bottom so you can see the file path of the file. Take a screenshot of that as well and post it or email it to us.
