View Full Version : Items not listed on Samsung F TV (Mezzmo 4.1.2.0)

Since the 4.1.1.0 update (I missed 4.1.0.0), I've had issues with folders not displaying all the items on a Samsung F TV. It might be a coincidence, but it seems that when the problems arises, only the first 50 items are displayed. Amongst those, folders don't seem to be updating dynamically as they used to. The only solution I have found so far is restarting the Mezzmo media server. It's happened several times since the 4.1.1.0 update. I installed 4.1.2.0 today and it happened again. A DLNA client on another PC does not have the issue so I am wondering if it's a profile problem. I am going to try reverting to 4.0.6.0. for now as this is a real inconvenience to deal with. I have several auto-downloaders for TV shows that dump files into a certain directory once download is complete. This directory is set as a dynamic playlist in Mezzmo and is where I am having problems. I haven't noticed the problem with any other playlists/folders, but that could be because they are rarely ever changed.

Hi Andrew,

Sorry for the problem. We'll try to fix the issue ASAP. It's best we see a set of logs when the problem occurs. Turn on logging in Mezzmo (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Now try to reproduce the problem on your Samsung F-series TV. When it occurs, stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up all the logs and email them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com. In your email, also make a note of the folder path/name that is wrongly listed and how many items should be listed.

I haven't heard anything for a while so it looks like this probably isn't going to be a quick fix. It is so frustrating because I have to restart the service so frequently. Although I first noticed the problem with a Samsung UN65F8000, I have since noticed it with other devices, namely 3 Samsung D series TVs, MediaMonkey installed on a PC solely for testing this problem and MediaHouse on an Android tablet. I have kept 4.1.2.0 running in case you needed more information from me, but it's driving me and the family crazy. Please let me know if I can safely revert to 4.0.6.0. Thanks.

Hi Andrew,

Sorry for the delay. We are trying to reproduce the problem at the moment. A few other users have also reported a similar problem, so there is definitely something going wrong when listing files in folders. We'll report back here when we have reproduced & fixed the problem. You can revert back to v4.0.6.0 - however your Mezzmo database was upgraded when updating to v4.1.x and is no longer compatible with v4.0.6.0 so you would need to create a new Mezzmo library from scratch. We'll try to get a fix to you ASAP.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the reply. My database is currently 5.6Gb - I keep it well backed up!

Hi Paul,

It’s now been a week with 4.1.2.7 and no repeat of the problem, so I think it’s safe to say it’s fixed.

Thank you so much for your support again.

Andy.

Great news, Andy. Thanks for the confirmation. We're about to release Mezzmo v4.1.3.0 and it will include this fix and several others for problems reported by users.
