So I'm going to be moving from using the Study PC with extra hard drive to a dedicated streaming/backup PC.

Will be re-purposing a Vista Home Premium PC (32bit, 2.20GHz and 4Gb RAM)...... have a 1G and 2 x 1.5G hard drives.

Thinking is to partition the 1G drive into 200M/800M. Use 200M for OS & Programs and the other 800M for back up files from other PC's. Then use a 1.5G hard drive for streaming audio/videos with 2nd 1.5G backing them up. Don't think can do RAID on Vista Home so will just use a backup utility.

Is there a guide to setting up Mezzmo as a Server only on a networked PC and managed from another PC on the same network?

Any other tip?

Cheers,
Mark

Sorry no guide, but it's pretty simple. Most users use Windows Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) to remote into the PC to manage their Mezzmo library via the Mezzmo app running on the remote PC.

Its a Vista Home Premium PC - don't think it supports RDP into it.

Anyone recommend a 3rd Party RDP application that will work from Windows 7 Professional to Windows Vista Home Premium
