I'm able to stream media from Mezzmo on Windows 7 to Sharp Aquos (2012) TV. However, my Mezzmos on Android on Samsung Galaxy Tab S and Ace 2 and Ace 3 are not seen on Sharp TV (although all the three Android Mezzmos see other ones - and are seen by Windows Mezzmo). What could be a reason Android Mezzmo is not seen by Sharp display while Windows Mezzmo works as expected?

Thanks for reporting this. We'd like to see a set of Mezzmo Android app logs. In your Mezzmo Android app, go to Settings and turn on logging. Then exit Mezzmo Android app and start it again. Turn off your Sharp Aquos TV and start it again. Wait a few minutes and then try to list media servers on your TV. When your Mezzmo Android app's server is not listed, then go back to Settings in the Mezzmo Android app and view the log file. Email it to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.

We have released an update to the Mezzmo app which should resolve the problem of the TV not seeing the Mezzmo android server.

Actually now Android Mezzmo is seen on my Sharp TV. However no files can be seen - TV shows "No data available" only (BTW tablet's Devices Nearby server shows all the files correctly). mezzmo.log is basically empty; it contains one line only:

19:35:37.322 [main] INFO conceiva.mezzmo.Mezzmo - onStart: 1.1.2

In case of using Android Mezzmo local server all files are shown on tablet correctly - and mezzmo.log is full of information.

Glad to see some progress in the latest Mezzmo Android app version.

Mezzmo Android's built-in media server will let you stream files stored on your Android device to your TV. Note: The built-in media server does not transcode files, so your TV will display error messages if you try to play a file from your Android device that it does not support.

On the other hand, if you select your Mezzmo (Windows) server on the SERVER tab in Mezzmo Android, then your files in your Mezzmo library on your PC will be pushed by Mezzmo Android onto your TV. Mezzmo (Windows) server will transcode your files if they are not compatible with your TV so that they will be played fine - assuming you have transcoding turned on in Mezzmo (Windows) and you have the right device profiles assigned to your TV in the Media Devices dialog.

I just want to stream .jpg photos. The problem is TV doesn't see the files and says no files are available (with empty log). This is incorrect, isn't it? I assume my TV supports .jpg.

AFAICS the problem is: while TV now recognizes Android Mezzmo the opposite is not true: Sharp TV doesn't appear as device on Devices panel. There is only local Mezzmo server available there.

In fact TV is not available as Network Media pane (or Play To pane) even on Windows Mezzmo. However I'm sure it was some time ago. I feel things are rather unstable here. Because it is correctly recognized as Media Devices after deletion.

On the other hand, if you select your Mezzmo (Windows) server on the SERVER tab in Mezzmo Android, then your files in your Mezzmo library on your PC will be pushed by Mezzmo Android onto your TV.

Actually I doubt my TV accepts push request (it is Sharp Aquos LC60-LE635E). Could you confirm?

Unfortunately, your TV model is not a DMR (digital media renderer) so it cannot be controlled by Play To features or used to push files to. It is a DMP (digital media player). This information was obtained doing a product search on www.dlna.org.

Only DMR devices get listed in Mezzmo Android under the DEVICES tab since Mezzmo Android is a digital media controller that pushes files to devices.

You will see Mezzmo Android's server listed on your TV though since DMP's (such as your TV) can connect to media servers and stream files from them.

Your TV will certainly support streaming & displayed JPG photos. However, the reason that they are not displayed may be that the photos are too large (width x height). We do know that some Sharp models do reject photos if they are too large in dimensions. Note: Mezzmo Android's server simply streams the files stored on your Android device without any transcoding. If you require transcoding of incompatible files, then you should use Mezzmo (Windows) server since it uses device profiles to determine if your files are compatible or not and will then auto-transcode them.

Please reread message #4 of this thread: "tablet's Devices Nearby server shows all the files correctly". This means the TV is able to display my folders and JPG files. I wrote also: "mezzmo.log is basically empty". This means I'm not able to trace what's going on.

Looks like a request (from TV) to display folder structure and/or files is totally ignored by Android Mezzmo. This needs attention, I suppose.

OK - if I understand correctly - when you try to list files streaming from Mezzmo Android app's local server (i.e. photos stored on your mobile device) onto your Sharp TV, no files are listed or displayed on your TV. But you can list / display your photos in the Mezzmo Android app itself. And on other DLNA devices? Correct?

If correct, then please do email us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com and attach the Mezzmo.log file from your Android device, as it may give us some clues. Also, once you email us, we may be able to provide a tweaked Mezzmo Android app to try.

Correct? Right.

If correct, then please do email us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com and attach the Mezzmo.log file from your Android device, as it may give us some clues. As I've written before there's no evidence of connection from TV. Although TV shows folders it doesn't show images. The log however will be emailed soon.

Also, once you email us, we may be able to provide a tweaked Mezzmo Android app to try.I'd be happy to test the missing functionality.

Thanks for the confirmation. We'll check the logs when we get them and respond back via email.
