View Full Version : Media stream keeps stopping

Hi,

Since I upgraded to the latest version of Mezzmo the media streaming keeps stopping approximately every 30 minutes. This means Mezzmo starts to stream the next file, so I have to stop that and open the file I was watching and try to find where I had got up to.

All this make the Mezzmo experience appallingly frustrating and virtually unusable.

This happens with every media file whether it is in a compatible format or a pre-transcoded file.

This problem did not happen in the previous version.

I use a Samsung TV via an orange Livebox. I have increased the Mezzmo server advertisement interval to 24 hours and disabled UPnP in the Livebox router. This make no difference.

Need help please!

Hi,
I have a similar problem.I am using the latest Mezzmo on pc and streaming to android Mezzmo on my tv.
Whether I am watching a movie or a half hour series episode, streamiing will stop about 3 mins from end
and then start next program,i then have to click back to resume the final 3 mins .
It is a Panasonic tv and a Minix android tv box.

Hi Chris & Stu,

Sorry for the problem. We'll fix this ASAP. Can you both create a set of logs and that will help us see what's happening. Turn on logging in Mezzmo (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Now reproduce the 30 min issue you mention. When Mezzmo skips to the next video, stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up all the logs and email them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com for analysis.

Paul Hi, did you see my reply to your email?
The problem is not with one untranscoded file. It is with most files, transcoded or not, a few times most evenings.

Hi Chris,

Got your email. A few other users are reporting the same issue and we're looking into it now. As soon as we have a fix, we'll report back & release an update for all users.

Paul, what are the likely timescales to this fix? Will this be later today, tomorrow, next week, next month?

Short answer is ASAP. We're trying to reproduce it right now. Once reproduced, then we should be able to fix it. So I expect a fix this week and for the fix to be included in the upcoming Mezzmo v4.1.3.0. We'll keep you posted.
