I have a few bluray movies that i added to my mezzmo library, relized that they had audio sync problems (problem with the files themselves, not mezzmo). I reprocessed the files and got them correct. Then i deleted the old ones from my hard drive folder and replaced with the new movie folders. Now these 2 movies won't show any movie info or play with mezzmo? I tried again deleting the movies, maintaining the library which deleted them from mezzmo, added them again and updated the library again. They show up in the list but same results. Wont play or show movie info on smartphones or android box. all other movies work fine. The 2 movies play fine on the computer. Had 3 movies that were having theses issues, first 2 I just discussed, then realized what was happening so the third one I didnt delete first, I just overwrote the old file with the new one and it plays and shows movie info just fine? I also updated the library and told it to overwrite all data with new, didn't help either. This makes no sense to me. Movie thumbnail is there, when you click it is shows a ?. Click to play movie and nothing. Any ideas anyone?

I took these same 3 movie folders, put them in another folder and added that folder to the library, updated the library and they work perfectly there? Still nothing I do will allow these movies to play in their original location once they were deleted.

I've had similar problems. My solution is to go to the properties for the video, then go to the Video tab and then hit the Get Properties From File button. It will update Mezzmo for the new data\changes you made to the new file. The next step then is for Mezzmo to serve the new file to your device. I do two things to ensure this. First, I go all the way back to the main menu on my playing device. Then I stop/restart the Mezzmo server. Then I play the movie. I don't know if the stop/restart is required but this process always works for me.

Thanks for the reply. I did have success by deleting the movies from the movie folder, updating the library, rebooting computer and then putting the movies back and updating library again. Basically the same thing i previously did several times except the reboot. I saved your method, might come in handy.

If you delete the file(s) from your Mezzmo library, then the next time you browse into that folder using Mezzmo app or your devices, then Mezzmo will pick up the (new/updated) files again and re-add them back into your Mezzmo library - with new attributes.

Paul, What I often do is just want to replace the file and not have to rediscover it with Mezzmo. There may be additional metadata I add and such. Deleting it will delete this info. Hence the method I am using.

Understand. Your method is a good idea is you wish to keep your metadata.
