Hello Conceiva !

Does the transcode utility in the latest version of Mezzmo support graphics card acceleration for my Radeon R9 295x2 discrete graphics card in my PC?

Cheers,

JimK

The current version of Mezzmo (v4.1.3.0) does not. Mezzmo uses ffmpeg.exe for audio and video transcoding. The version of ffmpeg.exe that comes with Mezzmo v4.1.3.0 does not include GPU encoding.

Can the Mezzmo transcode utility handle a series of .vob files ripped from a DVD or do I need to have another transcode step, such as going to .mkv then use the Mezzmo transcode utility?

Yes - Mezzmo can transcode & stream videos from a ripped DVD. You do not need to create a MKV video file.

When you add the folder containing the DVD vob files into Mezzmo, Mezzmo will detect it is a ripped DVD and find all the videos on the DVD and add these into your Mezzmo library. Mezzmo can do this for ripped DVDs, DVD ISOs, ripped Blu-rays and Blu-ray ISOs.

If I want to Pre-transcode an .MKV that has multiple language sound tracks, how do I ensure that the English soundtrack is the one being used in the Pre-Transcode by Mezzmo?
