Hey any ideas on how I can get the thumbnail previews working on my Sony BDP s470 ?

Unfortunately Sony BDPs do not support thumbnails with the current firmware. I believe that Sony is going to implement this at some later stage.

Xbox 360's don't seem to display album artwork for music - they just show visualizations. You can see thumbnails for photos, but not for video.
