Hi there,

I'm currently trying out Mezzmo to evaluate if it suits my needs and I've ran into a couple of issues that are a bit of a show stopper if I am honest, the following are the issues I am facing:

Start up time: I have added a fairly large library of music and media, around 16,000 files, and when starting up mezzmo it's stays at the landing screen for a significant period I would say 2-3 minutes, this seems pretty excessive, especially when other DLNA servers never had an issue
FFMPEG errors: I have scheduled mezzmo to update the library every evening, however, when I get back to my PC in the morning there are 30+ FFMPEG crashed notifications on Windows which then all have to be closed, if there is a known issue with FFMPEG should these errors not be supressed? Or maybe look at an alternate means of reading media files?
Samsung BD-C5900/XEU (3D Blu-ray player): It seems the DLNA client on this device returns "Media unsupported" for all my videos (Most of which are 720p HD clips). The odd thing is, the Samsung TV I have which also has a similar client to the blu-ray player can play the files fine, I attempted to change the profile the blu-ray player was using to the same as the TV, but it made no difference. Is there any way to resolve this?

Just to give you an idea here is the spec of the setup running mezzmo:

Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit)
Intel Core i7 2.8Ghz
12GB DDR3 RAM
All devices are on a cabled network

I'd appreciate any help on these matters.

Best wishes,
SE

Thanks for the detailed questions/description.

1. Start up time. Your start up time should not be that long. We have much larger libraries than 16K that take only 10-20 secs to start up. We really need your log files so we can determine what exactly is taking so long. Can you please turn on logging (see this thread: http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) then exit Mezzmo. Start Mezzmo and after it finally starts, exit again. Send us the logs to support [at] conceiva [dot] com and we will work out what is going wrong.

2. FFmpeg. When you contact us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com, we'll provide you a FFmpeg that does not display crash windows. This will be included in the next Mezzmo release for all registered users, but we can provide it to you now if you like.

3. Samsung BD-C5900. Did you try the "Samsung BDP 3D" device profile? If you get the same issue, then we will need the log files for analysis. Turn on logging. Use your Samsung 3D Blu-ray player to connect to Mezzmo and try to play some files. Once you get the error, stop your Mezzmo server and send us the logs to support [at] conceiva [dot] com. We'll work out what is going wrong.
