My PC is running Windows 8.1 and the latest Mezzmo software. Have been running Mezzmo for a little over 2 years with no problems. Suddenly I see this message: "not supported file format". The message happens with files that I have previously viewed on my UN60E7500 TV. My profile for this TV is set to Samsung E. The Mezzmo device is using the Generic Device NTSC Profile.

I have been streaming MTS and m2ts file types for a long time. But suddenly they will not stream. I have tried various profiles and re-installed the software. Looking for advice on solving this problem.

Check that transcoding is turned on. Tow places to check: (i) Go to the Transcoding Settings dialog to check this, and (ii) then go to the Media Devices dialog and edit your TV device listed there. On the Device Settings dialog, go to the Transcoding tab and check that transcoding is turned in there as well.

If no change/success, then it's best we see a set of logs. Turn on logging in Mezzmo (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Now connect to Mezzmo server from your TV and try streaming one of these videos that does not play. Once you get the error message, stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo (Windows) app. Zip up all the logs and email them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com. Also, right-click on video in Mezzmo that does not play on your TV and click 'Get FFmpeg Information'. Email this to us also.

Thanks and sorry for the delay. I check both setting:
1) Under Media Server | Transcode Settings: The checkbox "Turn off transcoding for all connected devices" is unchecked.
2) Under Media Device | Samsung TV | Edit. Then Transcoding Tab. "Transcode incompatible media files..." is checked.

So I assume this means my setting are correct. I will follow up by turning on the logs and providing them as instructed.

Well, never mind. While preparing to create the log, I cleared the logs and restarted Mezzmo. Then all of a sudden the videos now play. Note that just before I cleared the logs, I tried to play the videos and they failed. But after clearing the logs.... they work.

Go Figure.
