I am running Windows 8.1 64 bit and Mezzmo V. 4.1.3.34 I am trying to get English subtitle in a movie that is in my Mezzmo Library. I added it with the same name except for extension and it won't play in Mezzmo. I am not streaming, just using media share. VLC plays it fine but it will not in Mezzmo. Also, the subtitle small menu in WDTV show small box in left corner with audio and subtitle, but the subtitle will not light up, only the audio.
Any idea?

Hi Roger,

First step, you need to check if Mezzmo has picked up the subtitle file. Right-click on the video in Mezzmo and click Properties. On the Properties dialog, go to the Subtitles tab and check if you subtitles are listed there. If not, click the "Update Subtitles" button. If still not listed, then see this FAQ about naming your subtitle files - http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/5977-Tutorial-Subtitling-Basics. If your subtitles are listed, then select one and click "Subtitle Settings" button. On the Subtitle Settings dialog, check that you can view the subtitles and the various language/encoding settings are correct. After making any changes, click OK and restart your Mezzmo server. Try streaming now. If no better, let us know and we'll help further.

Hey Paul,
I followed your instructions to the t, and for once mine and yours were the same, (haha). Still no luck. I am not streaming or DLNA. Any thing else I can try for you?

It's best we see a set of logs. Turn on logging in Mezzmo (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Now connect to Mezzmo server from your device and try streaming the video. When no subtitles are displayed, then stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo (Windows) app. Zip up all the logs and email them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.
