I've been a Mezzmo user on Windows 7 for a while now without any problems and enjoy the software very much ! However, I recently upgraded to Windows 10 and now my PS3s will no longer display the Mezzmo server icon automatically when I turn them on. In order for them to show up I have to go into Mezzmo device settings and REMOVE them and then add them back again. I have to do this EVERY time as it's the only way to get the Mezzmo icon to show up ! Any suggestions ?

Also, on Windows 10, the Mezzmo server will randomly stop working from time to time and a Windows error message comes up to notify that it has stopped working properly.

I'm sure you already know about these issues and are working on an updated version that works with Windows 10. Keep up the good work !

It sounds like your Windows 10 firewall is either blocking DLNA/UPnP communication and/or blocking Mezzmo.exe & MezzmoMediaServer.exe from accessing your home network. Try this: Go to the Media Server Settings dialog in Mezzmo and rename your Mezzmo server (e.g. "Mezzmo Win 10"). Click OK to save your name change. This forces your Mezzmo server to re-registered as a Windows service on your computer and it may clear up any blocking that may be appearing.

Also, some users report that the following Windows setting also helps fix accessing files on NAS drives. In Windows, go to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Administrative Tools and run 'Local Security Policy'. Under 'Local Policies', you will find 'Security Options' and under this, you should see a setting called 'Accounts: Limit local account use of blank passwords to console logon only'. Turn this setting off. Restart your Mezzmo server and see if things improve now.

If that doesn't work check the settings under the device settings, on my PC the network adaptor kept resetting to Automatic and for some reason the device could not see the server, probably because I have multiple adaptors and Wi-Fi devices, once if fix the setting to the specific adaptor it works without the need to delete and re-add.

Since upgrading to win 10 the setting has stopped reverting back to automatic, once set it is remaining which is good news!

Hope that helps.
