Hi guys, New to the forum, started using Mezzmo several months ago and am very satisfied with it. Would like any input on using it with a network drive. I currently have all my movies stored on a 3TB USB 3.0 drive and it's almost at capacity. I am going to add a NAS drive and have decided on the WD My Cloud 2100. I have tried several network drives before, Iomega and Buffalo and have not been to happy with them. I've used WD portable drives and like their user friendly software. From my research I think the 2100 will work well for me. It will be used solely for video storage. The drive has Twonky and Plex pre loaded. Could there be any compatibility problems with the pre loaded software? I am planning on purchasing the 12TB unit and use it In RAID 1. I don't want to purchase it and find out it won't work. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

The NAS drive will work well with Mezzmo. The pre-installed software on the NAS will not affect Mezzmo performance or streaming. If these apps are running on your NAS, then you will see them as media servers listed on your devices. I would suggest turning them off so it keeps things simple & easy-to-use when connecting & browsing to Mezzmo server.

Tip: If you have problems seeing your NAS-based video files listed on your devices, then see this FAQ - http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/4597-FAQ-Accessing-files-from-external-computers-and-NAS-drives-on-your-home-network.
