New user of Mezzmo.

Sending 16/44.1 FLAC files with 'play to' to D-link DCH-M225 renderer over wifi - device which supports FLAC 24/96;

Nothing happens on output.

Status flashes up saying transcoding then disappears.
Why is it transcoding and not just sending FLAC?

- and it's transcoding to s16be - signed 16 bit big Endian format - an archaic format used on Acorn computers and Eidos games...
- why on earth???? - I don't suppose ANY DLNA device can play that....

What is going on??

That will be due to the device profile that has been assigned to your device in Mezzmo. Go to the Media Devices dialog and edit your device. Check the device profile and change it to 'Generic Device'. Next, go to the Transcoding tab on the same Device Settings dialog and turn off transcoding. Save your changes and now try streaming your FLAC files. Now they will be streamed without any modification to your D-Link device.
