Hellow,

I have a problem with transcoding video files in Mezzmo to my Lumia 535 (WP8.1) and Lumia 520(WP8.1).

In media devices I have transcoding enabled, Profile Windows Phone 8, Connection G 54mbps. I even played with resolution 320x240 to 1080p. In my Windows Phone, I am using application Smart Player and myMediaHub.

If I enable transcoding, none of video files plays. Not even mp4, divx.

If I disable transcoding, it plays SD mp4, SD divx. But applications does not recognice mkv, HD mkv and other video formats.

Audio and pictures are playing OK.

What is to do? What is the poing of transcoding, if is not supported by any apps.

Any advice appriciated.

Thank you!

The problem may be that myMediaHub does not like files that are transcoding on-the-fly. Try pre-transcoding a file and see if that plays OK. Right-click on a video and click 'Pre-transcode Files'. ON the Pre-transcode Files dialog, select your Windows Phone device/app and click 'Choose Formats'. On the Transcoding Formats dialog select the bolded format and click OK. Click OK to start transcoding and wait until transcoding has finished. Now try streaming this video with transcoding turned on and see if it plays OK. I tried with different video files-formats and pre-transcoding. No success :( >> Sorry, we cant play this file on your phone.

Definitely we need an improvement for Windows phone devices. New application for phones or better transcoding compatibility.

Can mezzmo transcode to DIVX with MP3 on the fly?? Smartplayer and myMediaHub can normaly play divx AVIs without transcoding enabled.
