Hi,

Not reporting a problem, just a question to help me understand how Mezzmo works. So, i have a Sony Bravia tv and Mezzmo has a profile for that which makes sure the sound and video is sent to the tv in the correct format. All well and good. But i now want to add a soundbase (Denon DHT-T110) to my TV. So, Mezzmo pushes the sound to my TV that then passes it through to the soundbase. But, and this is where i get a bit flaky, the soundbase can handle better quality audio than the tv? But Mezzmo only knows about the tv, so do i need to manually re-configure the Sony Bravia profile to make sure the soundbase is receiving the best quality audio and if so where do i start....

Or am i completely off track and the Mezzmo will just send the same audio as is coded into the video whatever the profile?

Thanks!

Gavin.

In this case, we'd need to either choose a better matching device profile for your new home theatre setup or tweak your current device profile to match the audio capabilities of your soundbar. Let us know what device profile you are currently using for your TV and the audio formats that your soundbar supports. This will let us advise what device profile works best and/or we'll be able to provide a device profile to suit your home theatre setup.

Hi Gavin,

Thanks for the information. The good news is that the 'Sony Bravia (2010 models)' device profile supports AC-3 (Dolby Digital) audio so the current device profile you are using should work well with your TV + Sound bar/Speaker base combination. If you have any troubles, let us know and we'll help out.
