I am currently using the Trial version and LOVE the program so far. However I am having some difficulty using the Go To and the Fast Forward buttons on my PS3. I have searched the forum for similar issues and the only thread that was similar is listed below.

http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/1825-PS3-Go-To-Fast-Forward

This doesn't fix my problem...by default the PS3 was set on the primary, though I did try and swap things around (PS3 compatible) to see if it was would...Nope.

I am not transcoding (going straight from VOB files). I know these features work because I am a licensed user of Wild Media Server and they work fine on there. Though, over all your product is far superior and would want to switch to it.

Anyways, when using the "go to" feature I try and change the minutes in the movie to move it forward or backwards it always says "The range you can specify has been exceeded", no matter how small of a change or how large of one.

Also, if I try to use the fast forward button or the fast reverse button it seems as if the movie locks up or it takes forever for it to get where it needs to go...make sense?

If the first issue can be resolved (go to) we have a winner.....I can live without the fast forward button...but being able to move 5 minutes in the future or past is a must.

Are you sure that Mezzmo is not transcoding your video (e.g. there may be subtitles and Mezzmo is burning them into the transcoded video)? When you are streaming, go back to Mezzmo (Windows) app and check if your video is listed in the Transcoding pane. If it is then you know it is transcoding on-the-fly and this explains why FF/REW and Go To are not available. In this case, you can pre-transcode your video. Right-click on the video in Mezzmo and click 'Pre-transcode Files'. On the Pre-transcode Files dialog, select your PS3 and click 'Choose Formats'. On the Transcoding Formats dialog, select the bolded format and click OK. Click OK to start transcoding and wait until it has completed. Then try streaming again and see if FF/REW & Go To are working.

Thanks for the response.

I am sure I am not transcoding....I check the transcoding box and it is empty (not to mention, my computers CPU isn't going nuts).

I don't want to transcode....I want raw 1080p vob's or iso files streaming to my PS3 or TV.

I thought transcoding on the fly wasn't possible with Mezzmo?

Basically, I am not transcoding and the FF/REW doesn't work very well and the Go To doesn't work at all. Is there some setting I am missing? Or are there any other options?

Right-click on one of the videos in Mezzmo and click 'Get FFmpeg Information'. Post that here or email it to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com. It will give us a better idea of what you are streaming.

(Mezzmo server has always allowed users to transcode on-the-fly and stream video, music & photos :))

Any luck at deciphering the information?

Thanks for the information. We just tried it here streaming to our PS3 and FF/REW worked fine, but Go To did not work. We have found the problem and we'll fix it now. Email us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com for a patch to try.

Thanks Paul, email sent.

One more thing...not a biggie but I thought I'd ask.

When you "X" out of the software it actually closes it but when you minimize it, it removes it from the task bar (great idea) and places it in the icon box at the lower right of the screen (don't know what it is called). Is it possible to cause the program to NOT close when you "X" out of it and to do the same as when you minimize it. Then to actually close it, you have to right click on the icon and select close or close it from the program in the file drop down box.

I will post this to the proposed upgrades to the next version thread.

Kuddo's to Paul and the Conceiva support team!

They were able to create a patch to fix the "Go To" feature for the PS3. This is customer service that is needed elsewhere. I have purchased the product and will continue to be supporter of this product for many years to come.

Glad you are up and running now, Rob :). We'll include this PS3 improvement into the upcoming Mezzmo (Windows) v5.0, or Mezzmo + PS3 owners can gain early access to this now via a v4.1.3.0 patch by emailing us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.
