View Full Version : Stop metadata retrieval for specific folders?

Hi,
Not sure if this is possible but thought i would ask incase there is something in the new version to do what i am after

I have a folder in my library (E:\Recorded TV) for all my recordings, watch once then delete
For most things in here everything is fine and works as well as my main TV folder

For UK shows however, they do not have a Season/Episode number, which causes problems with metadata retrieval

eg
e:\Recorded TV
-----\The Big Bang Theory
---------\The Big Bang Theory S04E03.ts
-----\Eastenders
----------\Eastenders 2016-05-30.ts

Is there a way to prevent the (Eastenders in the above) from trying to download metadata and just use the filename as the title but keep TBBT retrieving metadata?

I dont mind having to do manual retrieval for such things, but anything that can prevent me doing this, or renaming files is a bonus

Thanks

Paul

PAul,

Can't the Mezzmo 5 locking feature be used to manage this ?

Great idea :). With one caveat - it will work for files that are already in the folder (i.e. they can be locked), but not for newly downloaded files (since they will not have a lock yet and may get maintained). But it's still a good solution.

Thanks for the info, i had a feeling it wouldn't be possible

It's only a few minute job to fix things up, so no great issue, just trying to automate as much as possible :)

If only the EPG for tv channels had full information, then everything would be perfect ;)
