Hi,

i got Mezzmo 5.0.3 here, all is OK with my samsung TV.

All is ok with tablets or so.

But i don't see Mezzmo server anymore with my Yamaha AV 4.40 (feb 2016) that controls my AV receiver.

All was OK before with mezzmo 4, never had any problem.

I checked a few threads on the forum, i think the problem is between Mezzmo Server and Yamaha APP... some setting may have changed with mezzmo 5.

My AV receiver keeps playing music...from the folder that was used before updating to mezzmo 5 (network is really ok, subnet and all). But i cannot navigate in mezzmo shared folders and i don't see the server at all, only seeing my computers and shared folder if present.

Any idea ?

Thx

Check the device profile assigned to your Yamaha AV 4.40 in the Media Devices dialog. Also, edit your device and on the Device Settings dialog, go to the Transcoding tab and check that transcoding is turned on.

Hi, thanks for answering so quickly.

The issue is that my phone (or the Yamaha app) are not listed anymore in device listings.

I cleared it a bit by the way, all tablets or other phone are present, IP are ok... but my phone IP isn't listed.

Any way to access mezzmo by a browser or so ? must i try to install the android app trial to "detect" the phone in my windows server ?

*** update *** i just installed another dnla reader (upnp bubble) and it "sees" mezzmo server from my phone. All is OK in the listings from Windows Mezzmo... but i still don't see Mezzmo Server from Yamaha AV 4.40 app... must be an issue between Yamaha app and Mezzmo 5 maybe ?

*** update 2 *** : just uninstall Yamaha APP and install it again, nothing changed, still playing the same music... must have been saved on the audio receiver itself. I'll have some look to the receiver unit too.

It's best wee see a set of logs. Turn on logging in Mezzmo (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/419-FAQ-How-to-turn-on-diagnostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Restart your Yamaha app on your phone and try to list media servers on it. Wait a few minutes and after Mezzmo server is not listed, then stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo (Windows) app. Zip up all the logs and email them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.

Hi again, i just sent logs now.
But... Mezzmo is at last seen by my Yamaha App (i restarted the phone this morning, for other reasons). Not sure it's linked, maybe activating logging changed something ?

Thx for support, hoping the logs may be useful for your information.

Logging in Mezzmo should not affect connecting, browsing or streaming. Restarting your phone may be the clue though. It has fully cleared and reloaded the Yamaha app and then it was able to connect via UPnP, etc.

We'll take a look at your logs and see what we can find. We'll report back via email.
