I am upgrading my audio equipment and am considering the ARCAM Solo Neo. I still have to check if this uses DNLA, but assuming it does, can I use Mezzmo to send output from specific programs like Spotify or the BBC iPlayer (which take music from their own servers and play it on the PC's own speakers) to the audio kit?

I'm a newbie as far as uPnP and DNLA are concerned, so this might be a silly question.

I'm not sure about ARCAM Solo Neo, but can check if it's DLNA-compatible or not, but to answer the second part of your question - Mezzmo streams files, so if Spotify/iPlayer save out an audio file, then we can stream it, but if they're streaming themselves (so, you don't save a specific file, but just hear audio), then most probably it won't work unfortunately.

Thanks Dennis. These programs just play the audio (Spotify's T&Cs forbid saving, even if you've got the software). So it won't work. Shame. But I've heard of a product (Jamcast) that might.
