New: Support for movie sets and collections. Reading movie collection / set names from online movie sites and external metadata files.

How exactly do we create a smartlist/activelist with movies grouped into sets/collections?

I don't see it anywhere.

Ah, just found it mezzmo add's it to a new textbox called "series"

from there you can use the filters to add movies with a textbox "series" properly to get a nice list of sets/collections! :)

Thank you mezzmo team!

Might however rename the textbox maybe? from "series" to "sets/collections"

Info for other users:
Add a new Active Playlist called "Collections"
in the Keyword hierarchy simply add "Album / Series"
In the Smart Filter I have the "Match all"
and then
Category contains Movie
Category does not contain Home Movie
Genre does not contain Children (I add this tag to all kids movies to split up my library for adults and kids)
Genre does not contain Documentary (personally I don't think documentaries should be in the movies list..)

with these settings, you can use any XBMC/KODI scraper to set your .nfo files and have mezzmo sort it all out

I use MediaCompanion as scraper btw.

I consider it the best scraper on the planet. That way you can keep a nice database of all your movies/documentaries/tv shows
and easily scrape or manually manipulate the info:

https://mediacompanion.codeplex.com/

it's free and stable and active maintained

Glad you found out how to use it. We will have full details in our new wiki that will be available for the next Mezzmo release.

We've fixed that up for the next Mezzmo version.

This all works nice and as expected.

But I have a new request :) Yep, can't stop it.

I would like those movies which are grouped inside "sets" not to be listed in my main movies smartlist.

I did a kind of trick by adding some filter rules:

if series not contains a
if series not contains e
if series not contains i
if series not contains u
if series not contains o
if series not contains y

of course with a, e, i, u, o, y I should be able to exclude 100% of the collections, maybe 99,99999 but lets stick to 100%

but, shouldn't it be easier?

I suggest you use a smart playlist rule like: [Album / Series] [is] []. That is, where the series field is blank (empty).
