HI Guys,
Firstly I have used Mezzmo for years but not recently; We upgraded the TV to a 2016 Samsung KS8000 this is Tizen based and comes with Plex as a download so it was a natural fit so we are using this now. I would love to have Mezzmo as an app for this platform my better half prefers Mezzmo :) do you have any plans ? .

I'm guessing Android TV could use your Android App, how easy would it be to port this to Tizen ? .

Just noticed the Typo :) Tizen not Tizan

We may create a Tizen app in the future. Many thanks for the suggestion.

For the moment, you should be able to connect to Mezzmo server via the DLNA capabilities of your TV (typically via the Video, Music or Photos sections/apps on your TV). This will let you stream all your videos, music and photos from your Mezzmo server on your TV. Email us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com and we'll provide a new 'Samsung K' device profile for you to try.

Hi Paul,

Can i resurrect this thread to ask if a Tizen app has been created? I have now purchased two Samsung Smart Tv's and are using the DLNA feature, but, every day i have to stop and start the sever , as each TV seems to loose the connection to my PC and cannot find any shared folders!

If you could help i would appreciate it,

Regards

Rob

Hi Rob,
we do not currently have a Tizen app for Mezzmo but may create one in the future. If you find the TVs are losing connection to the server please try changing the ssdp advertisement interval http://www.mezzmo.com/wiki/doku.php?id=changing_ssdp_advertisement_interval to see if this helps.

Hi Peter,

Unfortunately adjusting as you said has made no difference, i came home from work and once again it has lost connection. This really is a pain!

Also forgot to mention - application crashes when you stop the sever and restart it 989

Hi Rob,
the message in the screenshot is not actually a crash, it just means that Mezzmo server took longer than the 30 seconds allowed by Windows for a service to shutdown. This can happen if the server is waiting for transcoding or some other background operation to terminate before shutting down.

For the issue with losing connection it could also be caused if your firewall on your PC or on your router is blocking some communication from Mezzmo, you can try disabling either firewall to see if this helps. If it does then you will need to add a rule to allow Mezzmo server to communicate after to re-enable the firewall.

If the problem still occurs please enable diagnostic logging http://www.mezzmo.com/wiki/doku.php?id=using_logging&s[]=diagnostic then after restarting your Mezzmo media server try reproducing the problem then send us the logs so we can investigate.
