Hello,
I am trying to play a DVD ripped to .vob file on my Panasonic TX-P42G20B.
The tv connects to the server fine and defaults to the Panasonic Viera profile in Mezzmo.
When I choose to play the .vob file, the video image displays, however the sound track is not audible.
Are there any other Mezzmo settings I need to play with?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Can you please post FFmpeg information on that file (in Mezzmo right-click on the file and use the "Get FFmpeg Information" command).

Do any other VOB files play or none of them play at all?

Hi dennis,

Can you provide detailed instructions on how to get "FFmpeg information on that file"

"Can you please post FFmpeg information on that file (in Mezzmo right-click on the file and use the "Get FFmpeg Information" command)."

I have only just started this streaming media lark, so this is the only .vob I have at the moment :o
I can rip another if you think it will help?

That file should be played through natively on the TV, so frankly I don't see a reason why there would be no sound. If you try to play it on your PC is there sound? Can you possibly rip a few minutes and send it over to us for testing here (or upload the whole file to www.megaupload.com or a similar site)?

Hi Dennis,
It's a bit wierd, the file plays fine on a PC with Windows Media Player.
As I am currently evaluating a few media servers, I have also tried Wild Media Server, which manages to play the file without problem.
However, I have now ripped another DVD using the same tools as before, and that one plays fine in Mezzmo, so it must be a problem with this particular file.
I have upload part of the file to http://www.megaupload.com/?d=7KKXF72H I'd be interested to see what you can make of it :)

Hi,

Thanks for the file - will take a look here. We also have an update for the device profile available, so please send a message to support (at) conceiva (dot) com and we'll send it out to you to try.

The updated profile has made no difference to the problems with this particular file. Have you managed to play it on your side?

We don't currently have a Panasonic TV here to test it on (we'll be getting some back in soon, hopefully), but if possible, can you please send in the logs from trying to play that file using the new profile to our support e-mail?
