Hello,

Subs burning stopped working all of the sudden, they were working fine until now. I've tried everything I could think of to make them burn again without success. I also can not find any reason for which they've stopped working. They were working for one episode and stopped for the next one without me doing anything. The device profile I am using is Sony Bravia KDL (2012 models). The subs are properly auto-extracted when a new file is added, but the burning will not work.

What can I try to make them burn?

Hi,
you can try pre-transcoding the file and check the box to force burning subtitles http://www.mezzmo.com/wiki/doku.php?id=pre-transcoding_files&s[]=pre&s[]=transcode

Already tried that multiple times, it transcodes without a burned in sub.

There may be an error occurring, please enable diagnostic logging http://www.mezzmo.com/wiki/doku.php?id=using_logging&s[]=diagnostic then after restarting your Mezzmo server and Mezzmo delete the pre-transcoded file if it exists then try playing the file on the TV and then send us the logs to support [at] conceiva [dot] com so we can investigate.

Here's some more information from the MezzmoTranscoder.txt logfile. ffmpeg appears to fault out when burning subs. No such filter: 'mezzmo'. What is that? Could it be a permission issue of sorts?

Hi,
this information from the log indicates that the version of ffmpeg you are using is different to the version included with Mezzmo, the filter used for burning subtitles is added by us so if you download a different version of ffmpeg it will not include the filter and burning subtitles will not work. Please download the Mezzmo installer from our website and run it to repair your installation files and this should resolve the issue by restoring the original ffmpeg.

I had backed up the original ffmpeg version before upgrading and restored it now, and subs are working. Unfortunately I had a sub problem before too, that prompted me to upgrade ffmpeg. I have, meanwhile, messed with a lot of settings in Mezzmo that might have fixed my original problem, so I no longer know what the real problem was and what I did to fix it.. Thanks for your support anyway. I now know to enable logging and inspect the logs or send them to you for easier diagnostics.
