Hello,

I have about 14 videos that are in a harddrive which connects through my router. Mezzmo Android detects them and when I open the folder to view the files it is stuck in "loading" as if loading the titles, movie poster, rating, etc. It does not do this if I use Mezzmo on my PC though. I imagine my phone is trying to gather all the art and information for the movies on the HDD. Is this normal? I tried a different folder with just 2 and it still was stuck trying to get all that information. It didn't freeze, it's just constantly loading. Any ideas what to do?

Hi,
it could be that an error is occurring when trying to parse the information in the Android app and this is why it is stuck on loading, can you please enable diagnostic logging http://www.mezzmo.com/wiki/doku.php?id=using_logging&s[]=diagnostic then after restarting your Mezzmo media server try browsing the playlist using the Android app then send us the logs to support [at] conceiva [dot] com so we can investigate what is happening.

Peter,

I used periodically see this problem with the Android app before you fixed the profile in this thread (http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/8915-Android-App-seems-to-struggle-with-playing-multiple-audio-files).

The logging will document the activity from the android app or from meezmo on my PC? It's only the android app that is experiencing this issue. I don't have Mezzmo active on my PC when I use the HDD video files and my phone.

The logging will document the activity from the Mezzmo server on your PC, the Android app is browsing the server so we need to see what is being sent to it to determine why it is stuck on loading.

That's the thing. I'm browsing a folder with video file on my router's HDD. It has nothing to do with Mezzmo server on my PC. My goal was to be able to watch the movies from the router's hdd so that my computer wouldn't have to stay on. I believe it used to work in an older version of mezzmo. I went ahead and sent the log requested though.

Sorry I misunderstood the issue, please enable logging in the Mezzmo app by going to settings and check the box for diagnostic logging then exit and restart the app. Then try browsing the folder and then send the log to support by going to settings again the clicking on view log files.

Looks like they stated that they will try to replicate the problem due to it being MiniDNLA.

We have found the issue, there is an xml error in the response from the server so the parsing of the xml is failing in the app. We can try to work around the error by adding the missing prefix before parsing the xml.

This fix is in the latest version of the Mezzmo app on the play store.
