Hello, i'm using Mezzmo on win7 for a TV Samsung F series device.
Before last update of mezzmo the thumbnail preview on the allshare DLNA was fine (image ratio ok) now since last update i see stretched preview (please see the image attached),

i found on this forum this thread:
http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/6121-Bigger-thumbnails-support-for-Samsung-F-series
and done this steps:

- Stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo.
- Using Windows Explorer, go to your DeviceProfiles folder (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...ofiles-located)
- Open the SamsungF.prf file using a text editor like Notepad.
- At the bottom of the file, you will see the "JPEG_TN" section. Change the <maxdimensions> width and height to 320x320.
- Save your changes.
- Run Mezzmo. Go to the Media Devices dialog and edit your Samsung F device. On the Device Settings dialog, go to the Transcoding tab and delete your transcoded files.
- Start your Mezzmo server and try browsing your videos now.

But nothing change :(
i see the thumbnails on tv but with incorrect aspect ratio.
I've tried to change the prf file to set different values of witdh, change values in streming mezzmo options, delete database, reinstalling mezzmo..
Every settings i made seems to not have effect to the thumbnail on the tv.

Could you please help me to found the solution?
Many thanks

The Samsung F device profile has not changed for Mezzmo v5.1.0.0, so that's a strange result. Can you re-install your previous Mezzmo version that worked OK and re-confirm that the thumbnails are OK? You can download previous Mezzmo versions here - http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread.php/6026-FAQ-How-to-download-older-versions-of-Mezzmo. If your thumbnails are OK using the previous version, then let us know the Mezzmo version you installed and we'll compare differences.

Ok Paul thanks, i've just unistall v.5.1.0.0 and reinstalled v5.0.5.0 and the thumbnails aspect ratio on TV are now ok.
Pretty sure somethings about dlna stream on my device type is changed, default streaming options on mezzmo and prf file are set to 320 x 320.

thank you for your support,
Marco

Thanks for the information, Marco. If you now upgrade this version to Mezzmo v5.1.0.0, does it still work?

We have tried it here with our Samsung TVs and the thumbnail artwork looks fine when displayed on the various TV models.

Please provide the following:

Zip up your SamsungF.PRF device profile so we can what changes you have made.
Create a set of Mezzmo logs for both Mezzmo v5.0.5.0 and Mezzmo v5.1.0.0. Turn on logging in Mezzmo (see http://www.mezzmo.com/wiki/doku.php?id=using_logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Connect to Mezzmo from your TV and browse some playlists/folders so you can the thumbnail artwork. Then stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo (Windows) app. Zip up all the logs. So this for both versions of Mezzmo so we can see the differences.
Take a photo of the correct / incorrect thumbnails on your TV. Zip up these photos.

Email all of above to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com and we should be able to quickly track down the reason for your thumbnail issue.

Hi Paul, as your request, i did everything according to your instructions and send it via e-mail.
Today, reinstalling 5.1.0.0 the updater asked me if i wanted to upgrade to 5.1.1.0 :) have released another update today?
Otherwise the test sent was done with 5.0.5.0 and 5.1.0.0.
Thank you,
Marco

p.s. just for info, i've tried to upgrade to lastest 5.1.1.0 and nothing changes about thumbnail size, still to incorrect aspect ratio..
