View Full Version : MetaData without Mezzmo PC?

I currently have Mezzmo on my PC and on my Android Phone. To not have to use my PC all the time, I trans-coded some video files to a Chrome-cast friendly format. I then keep these files on a hard-drive connected to my router. If I use my PC, Mezzmo PC provides the Metadata (movie art, information, actors) when viewing the movies on my phone. If I don't use the PC and instead access the files from the router, it does not give this information. Is it possible to have the metadata available on those files which do not require the PC Server to be running?

Hi,
the router will be using it's own media server to list the files when you stream from this source so it is not possible to use the metadata from the Mezzmo server. We have a patch which allows you to export the metadata from Mezzmo to an nfo file and the poster to a jpg so possibly the router's media server might detect this. If you would like to try it you can send an email to support [at] conceiva [dot] com and we can send you the patch to try.
