Quick Question Regarding Category

Using the Category metadata property of videos, specifically.

Only "Movie" category shows up under "Movies", and only "TV show" shows up under "TV Show", but can I create other categories, and in doing so, ensure that those with my new category do not show up under either "Movies" or "TV shows" but are only visible via a playlist(s) I generate that populates with the category of my choosing?

Hi,
yes you can use the Smart Filter http://www.mezzmo.com/wiki/doku.php?id=smart_filter&s[]=smart&s[]=rules to add rules so that the playlist only shows files that match the category you have set. You will need to make sure when you set the category for a file that it does not contain "Movie" or "TV shows" so that it does not appear in those playlists.
