I'm not sure how long ago it started, but I cannot access the media server from any of my android devices. I have not tried any other devices. I have tried uninstalling, and reinstalling, 3 times. I've checked my firewall, my anti-virus, and my wireless router.. There are no updates for the android version that I can see (I got the amazon apps version, I had coins..), and I'm running out of ideas...

Thanks in advance for any info/suggestions

Server is running windows 10
Android devices are all 5.1 and up to 7.0

Hi,
are you able to access the media server from other devices?

Please check the IP addresses of the android devices and also check the IP address of the PC running the media server to make sure they are in the same subnet. You can also try manually adding the server to the android app by clicking the + icon in the server list and put the path to the media servers desc file http://IP:53168/desc where IP is the IP of the PC.

I have tried manually entering the ip of the server and it says it cannot find/connect
I only have an xbox one as far as any other devices go.
I can see 2 of my android devices when I look at the devices tab of the pc program.

Try going to a web browser on your PC or another PC and type in the address http://ip:53168/desc, where ip is the ip address of the PC running Mezzmo. It should load an XML document if it is accessible, if it does not then it is likely the firewall is blocking the port, you can try turning off the firewall temporarily to test this.

I ended up turning off my firewall for an hour and it showed up all the sudden, even though I have AVG configured to allow all incoming and outgoing on all ports for mezzmo.. I'm not sure what that means or how to fix it... I went through all the application rules on AVG for the firewall and it all looks good...

I would recommend checking the advanced settings in AVG to see if MezzmoMediaServer.exe is listed and if it is not then add it. https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en&urlName=Allow-application-in-AVG-Firewall
