I have just moved across to using downloadstudio as my download manager because orbit failed to answer questions or fix my bugs. I love the product- so far, but I do have a feature request.
Sometimes I would like to be able to verify the correctness of my downloads against a MD5 hash. I can't find any information in downloadstudio about this, is this a feature I might expect in a future version?
I hope to get a response! Thank you.

Thanks for your thoughts on DownloadStudio.
Validating MD5 (as well as other hash verification algorithms), is one of the new features we plan to implement in the future.

How about metalinks (http://www.metalinker.org/)?

We are aware of metalinks. While they are not yet common, we plan to support them in an upcoming version. They are a great idea and a very good system for making downloads more reliable.

We're currently working on an Internet Draft for the IETF.

You can make public comments or just follow along on discuss@apps.ietf.org or Applications Review List <apps-review@ietf.org>.
Thanks for the heads-up on the draft spec. We'll make sure we read through it so we're compliant. I'll contact you when we have a public release ready so you can comment on our implementation.
Thanks again,
Paul Schumann.
