View Full Version : 5.1.2.0 VOBs not picked up in scans

Hello,

Installing over 5.1.0.x - or removing every trace of 5.1.x and installing 5.1.2.0 from the ground up and re-scanning full libraries - it doesn't pick up DVD/BDs like it used to.

If I install 5.1.0.x again and re-scan, everything is back to normal. Otherwise Mezzmo simply doesn't seem to find the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS as movies.

I should add: Windows 10 Enterprise, 64 bit system, etc. Again, the 5.1.x works just fine.

I've tried this a few different ways just to see if it was an upgrade issue, but the problem is in the 5.1.2.x version.

Best,

J

Hi,
there was an issue in one of the earlier beta's of 5.1.2.0 which we fixed before the final release, can you please try downloading the Mezzmo installer from our website and then run it to install to see if this adds the DVD's correctly? We tested adding a folder of DVD's here and all were added correctly.

Peter,

I let it auto-upgrade from within the application once, and when that failed, I uninstalled everything, then downloaded the latest from the Mezzmo web site and installed it. I did this on Saturday, Aug 26 2017. So I think I have done what you suggested already?

Thanks, we will need some more information to track down what is causing the problem. Can you please enable diagnostic logging http://www.mezzmo.com/wiki/doku.php?id=using_logging&s[]=diagnostic and upgrade to 5.1.2.0 again by running the installer that you downloaded then try adding a DVD to to library and after it fails to add the DVD send us the logs so we can investigate.

Peter,

I have sent off the logs as requested to support just now.

I have tested a few more times and confirmed that my older 5.1.0.0 works just fine no matter what; the problem is with the 5.1.2.0 version be it an upgrade or clean install, and even resetting all settings and databases from scratch.

I do want to point out one thing which might help: all my files are on a QNAP NAS. Again, this does not pose a problem for the 5.1.0.0 version and has never been an issue in the past.

If I add a DVD (folder which has video_ts and audio_ts folders in it) to the 5.1.0.0 version via NAS or local drive, it's fine either way.

If I do the very same operation on the 5.1.2.0 version, the local folder is added correctly, but the NAS version does not get added properly - it's as if there's nothing there to play.

Attached are the logs as requested.

Below is general info:
Windows 10 64 bit
QNAP latest software, etc.

We got the logs and have reproduced the problem here. We will investigate further to track down the cause of the problem.
