roku 2 and mezzmo app - ' loading'

Hi,

I have been having issues streaming from my Mezzmo server to the Mezzmo app on a roku 2 box. The server is running on a windows 10 and the profile used by the Mezzmo server is the Roku one. However, when i started using the Mezzmo app on Roku i found that videos streamed from the Mezzmo server would occasionally 'skip'. Pre-transcoding the video (i use the suggested bold options when setting up the transcoding) seemed to help and i hardly ever see skipping anymore. However, now the video will intermittently stop, 'loading' will display on the screen and the box underneath stays empty. Have left it for minutes but just stays in this state. If i rewind and play it continues to work OK (FFW also fixes). May only happen once or sometimes will occur a few times then all will play OK. Any ideas?

Hi,
it sounds like the segment of the file requested (if transcoded using hls) is not being returned so the Roku is just waiting for it to be delivered indefinitely. Can you please enable diagnostic logging http://www.mezzmo.com/wiki/doku.php?id=using_logging&s[]=diagnostic then after restarting your Mezzmo media server try streaming a file to the roku until the problem occurs then send us the logs to support [at] conceiva [dot] com so we can investigate.
