I'm having a bit of trouble properly naming the TV series M*A*S*H so that it can extract the metadata from THETVDB. Since Windows doesn't allow asterisks in file or folder names I've tried MASH and M A S H with no luck. Has anyone come across this? Is there a work around or do I need to input the metadata manually?

Hot dang, this is useful. I am assuming that I will need to set my library scraper to get info from .xml files, too? Right now I pull everything from .nfo and .jpg.

Thank you Paul for helping out on an issue already covered in the Wiki. My bad. :o

Yes - in the Metadata Retrieval Settings dialog, make sure the 'Get text metadata and artwork from series.xml and <episode>.xml files' checkbox is checked. See http://www.mezzmo.com/wiki/doku.php?id=metadata_retrieval_settings
