All modern TV show rips are named like The.Last.Man.On.Earth.S04E01.M.U.B.A.R.1080p.iT.WE B-DL.DD5.1.H.264-BTN.mkv and Mezzmo never retrieves metadata for TV shows or movies. Could we please get support for detection of S04E01 as Season/Episode and whatever comes before it with dots replaced by spaces as the Show name? Like The.Last.Man.On.Earth. -> The Last Man On Earth

The same thing applies to movies Batman.v.Superman.Dawn.of.Justice.2016.Extended.21 60p.UHD.Blu-ray.REMUX.HEVC.HDR.Atmos.TrueHD.7.1-EPSiLON.mkv, but the year could be used as a stop point: Batman.v.Superman.Dawn.of.Justice. -> Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice

This would be a major quality of life improvement. We'd never have to do this manually for every movie or episode ever again.

Thanks!

Mezzmo does parse most of the popular file naming style for movies and TV shows. We sometimes tweak the parsing to support variations in the file naming styles. Mezzmo does already handle SxxxExxx style season and episode naming.

We'll try your examples here and make sure they are working. Email us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com and we'll provide a patch for you to try.

Also, upgrade to the latest Mezzmo v5.2.0.0 if you have not done so already. We did make a few improvements to file name parsing.

Confirmed. Mezzmo 5.2.0.0 made Metadata Retrieval work properly. Thanks!
