I recently tried to upgrade my version of Kodi to 17.6. After doing this, and finding out how to load the Mezzmo add-on, it didn't seem to work. As soon as I launched the add-on, I was on a black Mezzmo screen and the only thing it said in the upper left hand corner was 'sort by date'.

Is there a compatibility issue?

I am running it fine with Kodi 17.6 on Windows 10 with the Confluence skin.

I am running it fine with Kodi 17.6 on Windows 10 with the Confluence skin.

I am using an android media streaming device - actually three of them. Two are running KODI 16.1 with the mezzmo add-on, and the 3rd one I tried to upgrade to KODI 17.6 just to see how it looked - and that is when I saw it wasn't communicating with my media server.

Here's the device that I am writing about:

I also have LibreElec 8.2.2 with Kodi 17.6 running on Raspberry Pi 3s and the addon with no issues. I don't have any Android devices running Kodi.

Well, I reverted back to jarvis 16.1, and that works fine...

Which is fine with me. I am not particularly crazy about the 17.x interface.

Ahh, I am running the Confluence skin (the same skin as v16 and earlier) on version 17. You can try v17 and load the Confluence skin to see if that works. If so, it will point to a skin problem with the Estuary skin (the new version 17 default) and Android. I've run the Estuary skin on Windows and Linux with the Kodi addon but like you, I don't like that skin so I load Confluence on all of my devices.

You may need to update your Mezzmo Addon if you have problems with the Kodi addon, we have tested here with the Kodi 18 beta and it works fine so if you have problems try getting the Mezzmo Kodi Addon from the folder where you installed Mezzmo and install it into Kodi again.
