Navigation on Samsung BDP/HTS

I have both Samsung Bluray players (BD-C5500) and a home theatre system (HT-C5500).

I'm using the appropriate profile for each but I noticed a difference with Navigation

On the HT-C5500 after selecting the Mezzmo server I get prompted for [ Video | Music | Photos]. If I select Video I see the video folders I've added in Mezzmo

However, with the BD-C5500 after I get prompted for [ Video | Music | Photos] I get another prompt of folders Video/Music/Photo before I see the folders I added in Mezzmo.

If I use the Samsung HTS profile on the BD-C5500 I don't get the duplicate request to select Video/Music/Photo.

So looks like a simple profile change can improve navigation.

If you wish, just edit the SamsungBDP.prf file in Notepad and change:


respectfeaturetyperequest="0"

to


respectfeaturetyperequest="1"

After that restart the server and it should work.

Great - did that and navigation good now

You might want to edit the Samsung BDP 3D profile as I had inivertantly selected that on one device and it suffers from the additional navigation
